After the price hike in two days ago, Tokyo Steel decided to increase purchase prices of scrap further in its five subsidiaries by ¥1,000/ton today.
After the new price hike, the purchase prices of H2 scrap in Okayama are at ¥41,000~¥40,500/ton; that in Kyushu plant is at ¥40,000/ton; that in Takamatsu plant is at ¥38,500/ton; that in Tahara plant is at ¥39,500/ton~¥40,000/ton and that in Utsunomiya is at ¥39,500/ton.
Meanwhile, it’s known that Tokyo Steel has moved up the prices by ¥1,500~¥2,000/ton within a week.
