US Scrap Prices May Decrease by US$20~US$30/ton

February 1, 2011
Reportedly, the US has decreased the export quotes of scrap for Turkish and Asian market by US$20~US$30/ton last week.
It’s known that Turkey’s mills stopped purchasing the scrap from the US in January due to sharply rising prices; however, Turkish buyers have returned to the market and purchase the US scrap with the price lower by US$25/ton in comparison of this in the previous two weeks.
Hence, it’s predicted that the US scrap prices would dip further by US$20~US$30/ton in February.
